CPD Accreditation
Accreditation is the formal recognition that an educational activity or program meets established quality standards set by the authoritative body. It is a process of assessment and validation to ensure competence, credibility, and compliance with industry or regulatory requirements.
Application for accreditation involves an additional process of assessment including independent peer review. It is purposed for industry, corporate, and service providers that produce education to demonstrate compliance, quality, and ensures content is free of marketing.
0-1 hour activities
All activities including webinars, podcasts, magazines, newsletters, lunch & learn activities lasting up to an hour.
1+-3 hour activities
All activities including dinner meetings, on-line, and self-paced learning activities lasting between 1 -3 hours.
3+ - 6 hour activities
Half day activities across all delivery modes providing 3 - 6 hours of learning.
Multiple day activities
Workshops, conferencing, and hybrid activities across multiple days accumulating to over 6 hours of learning.
Re-review
Re-submit your previously approved CPD content for re-review to receive an updated Trust Mark and Certificate of Completion, ensuring your learning stays current.
interprofessional accreditation
- Simplify your CPD accreditation process with a single submission that covers multiple scopes of practice.
- This includes healthcare professions registered under AHPRA, and other professional groups.
- For clinical content, additional scopes may be relevant where the material is specific to multiple professions.
- For non-clinical content, accreditation may be applied across broad professional titles i.e. Healthcare Professional.
- A fee of $275+gst applies for each additional scope of practice.

CPD Verification
- Verification is the process of checking, confirming, or validating that something meets specific requirements, standards, or truthfulness. It involves gathering evidence to ensure accuracy, authenticity, or compliance. Education providers applying for CPD Verification must demonstrate that they satisfy at least one of the following criteria, supported by appropriate evidence:
- Recognised professional body The provider is an established peak professional or industry body, with subject matter experts and appropriately qualified members responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the educational activity, consistent with accepted professional standards; or Accredited CPD home or regulatory authority
- The provider is an established CPD home or regulatory authority, and the educational content has been subject to formal internal accreditation, quality assurance, and governance processes aligned with applicable standards; or
- Content ownership and intellectual authority
- The provider is the original developer and custodian of the educational content and can demonstrate full responsibility for its integrity, evidence base, and ongoing currency; or
- Guideline development authority
- The provider has made a substantial, recognised, and evidence-based contribution to the development of national guidelines or standards within the relevant therapeutic area or subject (for example, organisations such as the Heart Foundation or the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand) Registered Training Organisations (RTO)'s Delivering publicly listed Units of Competency as an RTO
All applicants must provide verifiable documentation to substantiate eligibility against the stated criteria. The Australian Institute of CPD Standards reserves the right to request further evidence at any stage of the assessment process and to approve, defer, or reject any CPD Verification application where criteria are not adequately met or cannot be substantiated.
0-1 hour activities
